A Little About Myself

I guess by now you may be wondering, who is this guy and where did he come from? I will try to let you know just who I am plus where I came form and a little bit about where I have been to give you just a little insight on me.

Some time around the end of December 1965 I strolled off a mountaintop in northwest Arkansas where I lived at the time; a place called "Sugar Mountain". Sugar Mountain is located about 25 miles south of Fayetteville, Arkansas just off the east side of HWY 71, about one mile north of a little town named Brentwood. Anyway I went in to Fayetteville that day and ended up joining the Marine Corps and spent six years in a Marine Corps uniform. At the end of six years I got out thinking I had enough of this kind of life to last me the rest of my life but, ended up only staying out for seven months and a few days then ended up reentering the service only this time the United States Army and spent twenty plus years with them.

Little did I know back in December 1965 when I wondered off Sugar Mountain that my life style would be changed for ever and the military would be my way of life for the next 26 plus years before I would end up calling it quits and move back in to the civilian side of life.

Here are some of the places I have had the pleasure to visit and live while I was in the military; Spain, Viet Nam, France, Japan, Italy, Okinawa, Malta, Guam, Turkey, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Jordan, Austria, Greek, Taiwan, Ireland, Germany, Cuba, Canada, Mexico and Singapore.

As you can see I am very lucky to be able to see and learn some of the different ways of life and cultures around our world plus; I can also say,"it is a good feeling to set back think back about these places and the people that showed me their way of life while I was in their country or Island".

I hope that some of the places that I have mention have in some way woke up some of your good memories you had if you have had the pleasure of visiting these countries or palaces that you hold deep in your memories.

Just sitting and thinking avout on place in-particular takes me back to a little Island named Okinawa where I met my wife; "Oh what fun we had and still do to this date". I must say with out any hesitation on my part, meeting my wife was one of the biggest and best thing that ever happen to me; I must say, I have enjoyed it every since. I think by now you know enough about me and it is time to move on to some of the other parts of this web site.

It is time to get started putting the rest of this web site together for you with the hopes you will enjoy your stay. I have added other links that will take you to other web sites that I myself enjoy and visit offen. I am sure you may also enjoy these sites as well as I do. Once again, let me thank you for stopping by. After you have looked around and if you have any comments, please feel free to send me your thoughts.

I would like to take this time out to thank a man that inspired me in to starting a web site and who also has a love for the same Island and people that I do. You can also check out some very interesting subjects and places that he has published on his web. His web site is named "ClickOkinawa.com".I don't think you will be disappointed once you check out his web site. I have never met this man,Personally but, once you visit his web site you will see why I say, "I feel that I have known this man forever". Thank You MICK.
